Merry Christmas and De Ja Vu - Bob Geldof is apparently considering releasing a fourth version of the 1984 charity single 'Do They Know It's Christmas' to raise money for the Ebola crisis.

According to The Sun, Geldof is in discussions with a number of artists to record a new version with an all-star line-up that would would be released to mark the 30th anniversary of the original song.

"Bob started casually getting in touch with people earlier this month," a source told the newspaper. "A few big names were very surprised to see he had emailed them just asking if they would be interested in being part of a project.

"No one knows exactly what he has in mind. But naturally rumour is rife that he wants to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Band Aid."

The original track raised funds to fight famine in Ethiopia, with two further charity versions appearing in 1989 and 2004.

The Boomtown Rats are about to embark on an autumn tour. For tickets click here.
