Beyonce, Jay Z and Timbaland are being sued for unauthorised sampling on 'Drunk In Love'.
Hungarian folk singer Monika Miczura Juhasz is claiming that Beyonce used one of her songs without permission to form a distinctive hook on the hit single, so is now seeking financial compensation.
The song in question is 1995 track 'Bajba, Bajba Pelem', recorded under Juhasz's stage name Mitsou, with the singer's lawyers claiming a "digitally manipulated" version of the track features heavily throughout the single, stating: “All together, Mitsou’s vocals are featured for over one and a half minutes of the five and one half minute song,”
Mitsou does not appear on the track's liner notes, and reportedly was never consulted about appearing on the song, with the singer seemingly against collaborations as a whole, as her lawyers continued: “Mitsou’s incredible voice is widely considered unique and ethereal, and since the 1990’s, she has been in high demand for countless international collaborations as a featured guest singer,”
“[But she] has never signed any documents that would permit anyone to use her voice for advertising or trade purposes ... and never granted any of the defendants permission to use her voice for any purpose.”

TMZ reports that alongside damages, Mitsou has requested a judge to rule that the song isn't played until her voice is removed.
'Drunk In Love' has sold 1.6 million copies alone in the US, Beyonce, Jay Z or Timbaland have yet to comment on the case.
