Wiley has cancelled a gig in Islington, London tonight following a shooting outside the venue.
The renowned grime artist was set to play The Garage on Holloway Road tonight (16 December), but an unrelated incident that occurred last night means the show has since had to be called off.
A police spokesperson detailed that a 25 year old man had been shot outside the venue at 23:41 last night, with the injured male now in hospital with treatable leg injuries.
A full investigation into the incident is now being made by Islington police.
A spokesperson for SJM Concerts, the promoter behind the event also issued a full statement explaining the cancellation, detailing: "Following an incident which took place outside The Garage in London last night, the main venue is unable to open this evening. It is with regret that the venue has no option other than to cancel tonight’s Wiley show, which is a decision in no way related to Wiley, his management team nor his support acts.
"The Snakes and Ladders Tour shall be moved to early 2015, new dates to be announced soon. Tickets for this show will be valid for the new dates of the tour, or customers can contact point of purchase for ticket refunds."
