Flying Lotus, Kaytranada, Jon Hopkins, Heidi, Skream, Hannah Wants, Solomun and George FitzGerald are all set to take part in Radio 1's Residency in January.
Starting on 8 January 2015, eight acclaimed DJs are due to take over the Residency slot, airing on Thursday nights 10pm-midnight and midnight-1am.
The pairings are as follows: the abstract jazz of Flying Lotus is paired with recent XL signee Kaytranada, dustep pioneer Skream with bassy Brummie house specialist Hannah Wants, Canadian techno fiend Heidi with Hamburg's dance favourite Solomun and garage revivalist George FitzGerald with Domino's acclaimed Jon Hopkins.
As such they will take over from Moxie, Sohn, Jackmaster, Martin Garrix, Steve Angello and James Blake.
Kaytranada, whose album we can't wait to hear in 2015, said of the announcement: “During my highschool days, I used to listen to my favourite DJs mixes on BBC and now, here I am. Damn. I’m going to play the best music for y’all.”
