Proof that Christmas is truly a time for miracles, The Wealdstone Raider 'Got No Fans' has now entered the top five and may become the year's Christmas No.1.
Gordon Hill's grumpy tirade has now overtaken One Direction, Take That and Taylor Swift and is now gunning for favourites Ben Haenow and Mark Ronson. Hill told the Mirror (you can probably guess what's coming) “Simon Cowell, I’m after you. I want it. You’ve got no fans. I’m coming for Christmas Number 1. Simon Cowell do you want some? I’ll give it to you!”
Speaking to OfficialCharts.com Haenow said of his unlikely challenger: "I haven’t heard the song yet but I’ve heard of the Wealdstone Raider and seen the clip! If I lost out to him or Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars… even to be in the running against both of those is an incredible place to be. I’m really grateful."
The Christmas No.1 will be revealed on Sunday on BBC1 shortly before 7pm.
