Like some sort of topless love-rat, Justin Bieber has offered a video apologising for his actions over the past 18 months.
Bieber's numerous mistakes include egging a neighbour's house, having a fight with Orlando Bloom, urinating into a bucket, visiitng a brothel, abandonning a monkey and releasing 'Backpack' with Lil Wayne.
Early this week, Bieber apologised on the set of Ellen - complete with flowers and a contrite expression - and has now posted a video of himself sitting in darkness on his Facebook.
"I was afraid of what people are thinking about me right now," he says. "t’s been a minute since I’ve been in a public appearance and I didn’t want to come off arrogant or conceited or basically how I’ve been acting in the past year, year and a half. I was not who I was pretending to be."
In a bid to make his audience feel some sympathy for the singer, he attributed his behaviour to the difficulties of growing up in public.“Just being young and growing up in this business is hard … I just felt awkward up there.” He ended the message: “I really want people to know how much I care about people, and I’m not that person to say ‘I don’t give a fuck’ … I just want to make the best impression on people and be kind and loving and gentle and soft. Over 310,000 people have liked the post on Facebook alone.”
In March, Bieber will be the subject of a roast on Comedy Central. “I think it’s cool to be able to laugh at yourself … I just want to own up to some of the things [I’ve done].” One only hopes recording a fan video in the gloom is sone of them.
