De La Soul have just shared a new track ‘God It’, featuring Nas, and you can listen to it below.
Last month, the band launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund their new album. While the LP is set to feature musical contributions from Damon Albarn, 2 Chainz, Little Dragon and David Byrne, this collaboration with Nas will not be appearing on the album.
The forthcoming LP, which will be the band’s first studio album in 11 years, will “incorporate elements of Jazz, Funk, Rock, Country Western and anything else [the band are] feeling in the moment”.
Along with posting new song ‘God It’, De La Soul wrote: “New Music!!!! While busy at work, we also like to play. This song is not on the new album, but an indication of good music to come. The song was produce by G_Force and you may recognize our featured guest.”

The band are still currently in Atlanta recording the new album. While no release date has been set yet, their Kickstarter campaign that had initially hoped ro rais $110,000 has earned more than $473,000.
