2013 has seen some incredible new bands break onto the UK music scene, and beyond, with the likes of Bastille, Haim, The 1975 and Chvrches among some of the biggest newcomers of the past 12 months.
But things don't always go quite to plan. For every band that hits the top, there's another that falls at the first hurdle. For every hit album, someone else hits a brick wall - and more often than not, leaves us scratching our heads wondering what went wrong, exactly.
Of course, there's no time limit on how long it takes a band to hit the big time, and we've rounded up some of the biggest and best bands of 2013 who haven't quite become as big as they should - yet. Check out the 17 bands we believe should have been HUGE in 2013...
