What is that overwhelming strong scent I get whenever I hear a James Arthur track? Oh, that's it - it's the smell of credibility. Arthur told BBC: "I feel like there's pop songs on [the album] but they're really authentic-sounding. The words are coming from me." Unfortunately, it didn't take an archaeologist to bring up the album's Wikipedia page which clearly shows Arthur co-wrote the album alongside the people behind tracks by Westlife, Fergie, and Leona Lewis.

James Arthur has sacked his PA on Twitter, blaming him for a string of sexual, aggressive text messages sent to a model.

The fiasco began when model Teddy Edwardes (nope, us neither) posted a screenshot of an apparent conversation between herself and Arthur on Twitter, in which he tells her he'd like to "f*ck the living sh*t" out of her. After she declines, Arthur delivered some of the most toe-curlingly horrendous 'put-downs' to Edwardes, in which he told her not to "flatter" herself.

Arthur promptly denied Edwardes' claims, announcing to his fans he had "never met" the model. Bad idea - she then posted a series of more texts from the singer, much to the delight of her followers. Arthur then blocked Edwardes.

Arthur continued to deny the texts were from him, which prompted Edwardes to publish the X Factor winner's number on Twitter. Arthur then claimed the number was actually his PA's, to which Edwardes, and everyone else, dubbed a big fat "LIE".

In a further twist, Arthur's ex-mate and fellow former X Factor contestant Lucy Spraggan confirmed the number to be the 'Impossible' singer's, before deleting the tweet.
