Six years ago today, Alex Turner and Miles Kane's side project The Last Shadow Puppets went to No.1 with their debut album The Age Of The Understatement. There was a supergroup-like aura surrounding the coming together of members of Arctic Monkeys, The Rascals and Simian Mobile Disco.
In fact, sometimes massive artists like Alex Turner can make just as much of an impact taking a liberating and unexpected sidestep, as The Last Shadow Puppets proved with a vengeance.
