New Order have teased a possible collaboration with LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy, watch below.
In an interview with Consequence of Sound, Bernard Sumner and Tom Chapman were open about discussing acts they would like to collaborate with in the future, but somewhat coy when the DFA label boss came into conversation.
When asked if they would consider working with Murphy, Sumner paused before saying: “I can’t talk about any of that just yet, but there is news, we’re in the process…”
Nothing has been announced yet, but if the group’s body language in the video is anything to go by a collaboration between Murphy and New Order could well be in the works.

Also in the interview, Sumner and Chapman discuss their admiration for The Killers, Arcade Fire and The National. They would love to work with each band in the future but have no current plans to do so.
New Order released a new song ‘Plastic’ last month, with a new album reportedly in the works from the group.
