Big Sean, who is currently on a US tour in support of new album Dark Sky Paradise, appeared to receive a public put-down from Ariana Grande's father on Instagram, shortly before the couple separated.
The Detroit rapper, who was previously in an eight month relationship with Grande (21), posted a photo of himself above a caption reading, "I'd give her the D..." (from his track with Kanye West 'Mercy'). This appeared to sparked a move of fatherly protection from Edward Butera for its sexual connotations.
A user reporting to be Butera responded by commenting "That D. better be Detroit Sean" putting the rapper in his place. However Grande's publicist recently confirmed that this altercation had not taken place.
The Kanye-collaborator will play shows in Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham in June and July off the back of his latest album release Dark Sky Paradise, which went straight in at number one on the Billboard chart.
Big Sean will play:
29 June Birmingham, Library
30 June Manchester, Academy 2
1 July Glasgow, ABC
Big Sean is also due to play the Wireless 10th Birthday on 28 June and Saturday 4 July. For tickets click here.
