Rumours have surfaced that 30 Seconds to Mars frontman, Jared Leto is in the running for the lead role Marvel's next project, Dr. Strange.
The character first surfaced in the 60's and is a surgeon who falls into sorcery, before ending up defending the planet from all manner of evil - and becoming a core member of The Avengers. Sinister director Scott Derrickson is on board to direct, confirmed after he tweeted a picture of himself with the comic, stating that it is his next project.

Meanwhile rumours of Leto's potential casting have surfaced through Badass Digest's Devin Faraci, who writes: "I have heard that Marvel likes (or liked, I don't know what the current status of this is) Jared Leto for Stephen Strange. God help us all if that's true."
If the casting does go ahead it will see Leto move back into mainstream Hollywood after only featuring in low budget and art-house movies for the last decade. His last big budget Blockbusters were 2002's Panic Room and 2004's Lord of War.
