Blur have announced that they will be playing a free, intimate show at Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg this Friday (May 1).
The band will be performing their new album, The Magic Whip, in its entirety. Limited free tickets are available on a first come first served basis. Fans can register by visiting Converse-Music.com/Blur from April 29th at 12pm EST.
This will be Blur’s first North American show since 2013. The band will be in NYC to perform on the Tonight Show the night before, so this gig came together quickly after that booking.

Bassist Alex James told Rolling Stone: "We thought, 'We should really do a show while we're there. It's been a real scramble, but we've managed to work it out, and we couldn't be more excited. It's a miracle, really. I think we owe the fans something, 'cause it's been a long, long time since we've been there."
Blur have not yet announced any additional North American tour dates, but James said: "We've always had a great time in New York, so I think it's going to be particularly special. It's the city where all your dreams come true, isn't it?"
