Former Happy Mondays members Rowetta and Shaun Ryder have backed 'brother' Bez in his run for parliament in the election next month.
The energetic band mascot registered his We Are The Reality party back in February, with policies that include anti-fracking, free water and public transport for all. He hopes to become an MP for Salford.
Last Saturday (11 April) Black Grape, made up of Shaun Ryder and Kermit, reformed to support Bez's running for parliament. The setlist included 'Get Higher' and 'Reverend Black Grape' with Bez joining the group for the encore, where he highlighted that it's "important for Manchester to stay together."
Ryder later advised the 700-capacity Old Granada Studios: "Don't vote for the Tories, anyone but them."
Now, Rowetta has also declared her support for Bez, saying: "He knows what he's talking about, he's not in it just to win it - it's about educating people about this city, about fracking and about the government."
