Ever the ambitious teenager, Lorde has expressed hopes that she will one day create her own festival.
The singer performed at Lollapalooza festival in Chicago last night (1 August), and sat down with The Mix radio station ahead of her set to discuss her plans for the future.
"I really want to make a festival one day, do the Lollapalooza type thing," the singer said, repeating herself when the interviewer struggled to understand her New Zealand pronunciation of 'festival'. "I think that would be awesome, but like later on."

Not content with just one huge ambition, Lorde continued, "I want to edit a magazine... I want to make movies - I guess I already get to do that with music videos, but I want to expand on that a little bit. I want to do a bunch of stuff."
Lorde embarks on a huge US tour in September, which includes 23 dates over more than a month, so she'll probably have to put the festival plans on the back burner.
