Bruce Springsteen is set to make his acting debut on the next season of Netflix's Lilyhammer.
As Billboard reports, the singer will appear in the third season of the series, which stars Steven Van Zandt as a former mobster who is sent to Norway as part of a witness protection programme. Van Zandt is also part of Springsteen's E Street Band.
Springsteen will play a mortuary owner in the series, and, aside from his role in his recent 10-minute short film, and a small role as himself in High Fidelity, will be the singer's first time acting professionally.

Van Zandt's Sopranos co-star Tony Sirico is also reportedly joining the series, playing a recurring role as a priest.
High Hopes, Springsteen's eighteenth studio album, was released earlier this year, and reached No.1 in both the UK and the US.
