Eurosonic Noorderlag will be focussing on Icelandic acts for its 2015 iteration, with the first wave of artists announced today.
Samaris, Kaleo, Kiasmos and Rökkurró are the first to join the bill, with more acts expected to be announced in the coming months.
Speaking of focussing on Iceland, creative director Peter Smidt said: “For many years we have enjoyed the incredible amount of unique acts to come out of this small European country."
"We also have been amazed by the quality of Icelandic acts that have performed at previous editions of Eurosonic. We are looking forward to put a spotlight on all new Icelandic talents by doing the focus on Iceland at Eurosonic Noorderslag in January 2015.”
Last year saw the likes of Royal Blood, East India Youth, Bondax, Wild Beasts and more on the roster.
