Arch musical contrarian and perpetual Modfather Paul Weller has written a track for the new Olly Murs' new album, Never Been Better.
In an interview with The Sun, Murs reveals that Weller approached him at a gig to praise his cover of 'Broken Stones' from Weller's 1995 album Stanley Road. This chance meeting resulted in the unlikely pair writing together.

"Paul came up to me and said, 'I loved the version of 'Broken Stones' you did,' Murs told the paper. ''He said, 'Are you writing at the moment? I'll send you some songs.' We went into the studio and reworked one. To get an endorsement from the Modfather himself is special. He's a musical legend.''
The track in question is called 'Let Me In' and is included on Murs album alongside tracks that feature Demi Lovato and Travis McCoy.
Following on from his recent compilation More Modern Classics, Weller has said he is looking to record new music with both Boy George and Johnny Marr. The Jam's fourth album Setting Sons is due to be released as a Super Deluxe Editon on 17 November.
