Ed Sheeran has had the bestselling album of 2014, shifting over 634,000 copies and knocking Coldplay into second place.
The singer songwriter, who on his second album both worked with Pharrell and shamed an ex in style, released X in June and it spent eight weeks at number one, shifting over 182,000 copies during its first week on sale. It has now overtaken Coldplay's mopey Ghost Stories as the UK's best selling album of the year.
Nine out of the top ten bestsellers are British acts.

Following his triumphant gig at the ITunes Festival, Sheeran recently announced he will play the NIA Indoor Arena in Birmingham on 18 October. Tickets can be purchased from here.
Ed Sheeran's autumn tour includes two at London's O2 Arena, as well as stops in Birmingham, Dublin, Manchester and Glasgow. The tour will commence at Dublin's O2 Arena on October 6, and finish up at Glasgow SSE Hydro Arena on October 30.
