Led Zeppelin guitarist and producer Jimmy Page has revealed why there was no 'Led Zeppelin V', in a new interview that also gives details on his upcoming solo record.

Speaking to American broadcasting station, SiriusXM, Page was publicising the new deluxe editions of Led Zeppelin's fourth record and Houses of the Holy albums, remastered by Page himself as well as his new book, 'Jimmy Page', a testament to his colourful life in rock.

Explaining the decision to name the fifth album, the iconic guitarist said: "It goes I, II and III, as you say, but then IV, there's still four symbols, so it still goes in digits (like IIII), you see but the fifth album wasn't going to be Led Zeppelin Victory Sign (V). So Houses of the Holy."

He added: "It's about all of us being houses of the Holy Spirit, in a sense".

Page also was pressed on his plans for a new solo record in the interview, saying:"Whatever it is, hopefully what I've got in mind will surface sometime maybe next year."

Page recently hinted at a Led Zeppelin reunion, blaming frontman Robert Plant for delaying plans. In an interview with The Express however, Plant officially commented on Page’s reunion aims, saying “I feel for the guy. He knows he’s got the headlines if he wants them. But I don’t know what he’s trying to do. So I feel slightly disappointed and baffled”.
