Kings Of Leon are to play the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue festival this February.
The prolific US fitness magazine has published a swimsuit issue every year since 1964 and this year are holding a massive event called the Swimsuit Fan Festival in Nashville to honour the issue.
The concert will primarily be free to the public and will feature local musicians, although Kings Of Leon's set, according to Sports Illustrated publisher Brendan Ripp, will cost fans money to attend. Speaking of the inspiration for the festival, he told Adage.com: "We want to be younger, we want to be broader, we want to be bigger. Nashville is helping us check off all those boxes."
Late last year, the band revealed their seventh album is coming very soon after a string of shows were cancelled in August, following Nathan Followill sustaining an injury on their tour bus. The accident occurred when a member of public 'jumped infront' of their tourbus during their North American tour, resulting in broken ribs for the drummer.
The Swimsuit Fan Festival will take place in Nashville from February 11 - February 12.
