Dan Snaith, the man behind Caribou, has created a 1000 song 'Longest Mixtape' as  a thank you for fans who supported his album Our Love. Listen to it below.

The Youtube playlist contains a huge range of music, including LCD Soundsystem, Four Tet, Britney Spears, Neil Young, Scott Walker, Led Zeppelin and Wu Tang Clan.

Snaith wrote a note to accompany the playlist, which encourages fans to respond to the playlist with recommendations of their own, "in the hope this becomes a dialogue rather than a monologue."

He created the playlist as a way to pay gratitude for a successful couple of years, which have seen him extensively touring as well as releasing 2014's Our Love, which came second in Gigwise's Albums Of 2014.

'As you can imagine, music has been a central love of my life since I was a teenager and over the years I've been introduced to a lot that has stayed with me. I've collected the majority of that music here – and I thought sharing it with you seemed like one way I could say thanks.'

He strongly suggests listening to the album on shuffle, as he hasn't sequenced the tracks - he 'just entered them as [he] browsed along the shelves in [his] record collection.'
