Grammy-winning producer Detail seems to have confirmed that not only does the long-rumoured Beyonce and Jay Z joint album exist, but it's expected to be released this year.
The rumours originally surfaced in September following the couple's successful On The Run Tour, when DJ Skee told his listeners: "The biggest couple in music, maybe entertainment, maybe the... it's crazy, but anyway, they're working on an album together, you know who I'm talking about, Jay Z and Beyonce, I have confirmed, I've talked to a couple of sources."

Now a more reliable source has stepped forward - producer Detail, who won his first Grammy last night for his work on 'Drunk In Love' with the couple in question, which won Best R&B Song.
The producer told Billboard, "I'm working with a couple of new projects that I don't want to unveil, and then me and Beyonce and Jay Z are actually doing something together this year."
He continued, "When you think of Jay and Bey together, you think 'album.' You should already know." When asked if that album would arrive this year, he said, "In my imaginary mind, I will work to say it's true."
That seems to be pretty concrete proof that a joint album from Jay Z and Beyonce is actually happening. As to whether it'll appear this year - we'll just have to wait and see.
