In ungrateful entitlement news this week, drummer Mike Portnoy kicked up a storm online after complaining about the NHS.
The ex-Dream Theater drummer was due to play at Islington Assembly Hall with Neal Morse, but was taken to Whittington Hospital for an undisclosed ailment.
Once there, he attempted to skip the queue, because he had a "show" and was quite rightfully told by doctors to get back in line.
"A very special NO THANKS to the staff at the Whittington Hospital for NOT seeing me regardless of telling them that there is an audience waiting for our show to begin," he said. "I finally left withOUT seeing a doctor in order to make tonight's show...I have no idea how the hell I'm going to make it through this show...I can't even stand up or lift my arms... : ("
He then took to Facebook to explain his comments and apologise:
Despite apparently not being able to lift his arms or stand up, Portnoy still managed to type out an incredibly ill-advised Facebook status.
Quite rightfully the internet responded in kind:
Glad to see that @MikePortnoy is well enough to slag off the NHS for not treating him before priority (ie. dying) patients.
