The doppelganger drum-off to end them all

Well, it finally happened. The greatest look-alike rivalry of modern times came to a head when Red Hot Chili Peppers' drummer Chad Smith took on comedian and actor Will Ferrell in a drum-battle to end them all.
Taking to the stage on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, the doppelgängers sought to end their bitter feud to determine who most deserves to look like themselves. It was pretty awesome.
We don't want to give too much away about who won, but you can check it out for yourselves below.

The lookalikes have been in talks for months, after their long-running discussion of being confused for another when Ferrell took to the internet to write 'a lot of people think that it's me playing for the Red Hot Chili Peppers. But that would be an insult to Chad Smith. The truth of the matter is there is no Will Ferrell. Only Chad Smith'.
After this, a video was posted to the Funny or Die Youtube channel with Ferrell thanking fans for taking part in the Q&A. "It was great to finally clear up the fact that I am Chad Smith," he said - subsequently posting his own video on Instagram challenging the comedian to a "drum off".
Then, responding to the challenge, Ferrell repled: "Hi, Chad. Will Ferrell here. I saw your video and I graciously accept your invitation to a drum battle. If we can raise $300,000 for Cancer For College I will face off with you in the greatest drum vs. cowbell showdown the world has ever seen.
"We can do it on stage at a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert or in front of a mutually convenient public library. Your call. Also, would you rather fight a hundred duck sized ducks or one horse sized horse?"
Meanwhile, Red Hot Chili Peppers will be returning to the UK to headline Isle Of Wight Festival alongside Biffy Clyro, Calvin Harris, Kings Of Leon and many more. Isle Of Wight Festival 2014 takes place from 12 - 15 June. Tickets are on sale now. For more information, visit Gigwise Tickets.
