Bat For Lashes has unveiled the dreamy yet powerful new track 'Skin Song'. Check it out below.
Set to feature on forthcoming album, Body of Songs - a compilation album that revolves around the wonders of medical science and features a number of colloborating artists including Goldie and Ghostpoet - 'Skin Song' sees Natasha Khan paint a personal portrait of herself.
Lyrically wordy and, in parts, overly scientific in its descritpions, 'Skin Song' is a brief lesson in anatonmy told in the most beguiling of ways.
Clever in its structure, the music entwines wonderfully with the vocals as echoing guitars supplement the sensual and powerfully delivered vocals.
The album, which was recorded with the help of a number of medical experts including stem cell researchers, surgeons and pathologists is due for release sometime in 2015.
