Madonna is the latest musician to speak about the Israel-Palestine conflict - speaking in defence of the people of Gaza.
Never one to shy away from speaking her mind, the American superstar has expressed her disapproval of Israeli heavy artillery taking the lives of innocent children in Gaza, Palestine. The star joins fellow musicians who have spoken out about the conflict including Rihanna, Annie Lennox, Eddie Vedder and Waka Flocka Flame.
Calling for ceasefire and peace, Madonna posted a picture on her instagram of roses with the caption: "These flowers are like the innocent children of Gaza! Who has a right to destroy them? No one!!!! CEASE FIRE! Peace in the Middle East."
Madonna then came under criticism as a result of being understood to support Hamas. The 'Like A Virgin' hit-maker then clarified her position on the issue with another post on the social networking service: "I do not Support Hamas! I support human dignity and respect! I support sharing! I support Peace! Cease fire."
Recently, Madonna has been working on her new album and has been seen recording with Diplo. A potential feature with Disclosure has also been spoken about, further exciting people about the megastar's thirteenth studio album.
