He's one of the best live acts around: From his improv comedy songs, banter about his cats to his flawless vocals and ability to make the most vast of venues seem intimate, you'd struggle to attend a more memorable gig than a Ryan Adams show. Fingers crossed for a tour by the end of the year.

Footage has surfaced of Ryan Adams debuting a new song live at Newport Folk Festival last weekend (27 July).
Titled 'Catherine', the track isn't listed to appear on Adams' forthcoming album due in September on Pan AM/Blue Note Records.
The singer's performance at the event, held in Newport, Rhode Island featured tracks from the new record as well as classics from his back catalogue such as 'Gimme Something Good' and 'Come Pick Me Up'.
Staying true to Adams' core sound, the new, non album track he performed for the first time is a driving rock statement built around those signature impassioned, country-tinged vocals. Could this signify more new material from the American icon? Here's hoping.
