Brilliant tracks nestled deep within an album
A great item is a treasure within itself, but what's even better is when a band are brimming over with great material and stick in something extra. As the old saying goes, patience is a virtue. And if you have the patience to listen to an album track a couple of minutes after it ends, you may often be rewarded with a "hidden" song.
They don't stay very hidden for long of course, but they can often be better than most of its fellow, credited, album tracks. The hidden track usually sees an artist or band explore and experiment, safe in the knowledge it's not "officially" an album song if it turns out everyone thinks it's terrible.
