The fact that some twunt (from an unnamed publication) felt the name to invent a whole genre in an attempt to pigeon-hole this lot shows how much of a breath of fresh air they are proving to be. As swirling, exuberant and hedonistic as their previous releases, the pumping bass + piano trickery on  ‘Gravity's Rainbow’ possess the song and drive it forward at a stupefying pace. The relevance of Pynchon’s surreal novel of the same name (?) escapes me, but that’s not hugely important when you’re grinning like a twat and chanting the infectious chorus for the umpteenth time. Chaotic and passionate, ‘Gravity’s Rainbow’ looks set to sustain the threesome’s purple patch for another few months at least.
