Eleven year old Rhys Toms aka Black Summer, who played his first DJ gig on 3 May.
At Groovin The Moo Festival in Canberra, Australia, budding DJ Black Summer took to the stage to perform his first ever live set. Aged 11, where most children are struggling to communicate, Rhys Toms gets fully into the experience, hyping the crowd up to a fever pitch and playing a bombastic set. He managed to attract a crowd of around 10,000 people to watch him play his first show.

Black Summer told Mashable; "One day, Dad and I decided to upload some of my music to unearthed for fun and within a week we got an email from Triple J and it has been pretty crazy since then." Toms began to play music 6 years ago, after his parents bought him equipment to play on. He currently is taking piano and DJ lessons to hone his craft. All Gigwise will say is: if he's not booked for South West Four by the time he's 12, there's no justice in the world.
