The Decemberists appeared on Jimmy Kimmel this week, where they performed original songs with lyrics made up entirely of YouTube comments. Watch it below.
The band just released their new album, What A Terrible World, What A Beautiful World, and appeared on the US talk show to celebrate. Rather than performing a song from that album though, they decided to perform short songs inspired by the area of the internet Hozier recently described to us as "like a toilet wall" - the Youtube comment section

Our personal favourite is how they managed to make the following sound vaguely poetic: "OMG she proved she didn't have a butt implants with a butt X-ray and she admitted she gets botox she does squats her nose still has a hump in it if you actually at a recent pic of her nose you will see it."
They also covered the ubiquitous: "I can't believe I make $5000 a month working from home, click link below to find out how," and, simply, "First."
There's also a really quite beautiful crowd singalong of the word "Boring."
