The trailer for season two of True Detective has been released, and it it set to begin airing on HBO on June 21.

This season will star Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughn, Rachel McAdams and Taylor Kitsch. HBO described the series synopisis as: "A bizarre murder brings together three law-enforcement officers and a career criminal, each of whom must navigate a web of conspiracy and betrayal in the scorched landscapes of California."

There will be eight hour-long episodes, with Fast And Furious director Justin Lin directing the first two episodes. The series is written and created by Nic Pizzolatto.
