U2 were joined by the wonderful Patti Smith during their concert at London's O2 arena last night (29 October).
Bono and his crew are in the midst of a six-night stint at the London venue that started last Monday. Patti Smith isn't the only guest the band have brought on - Noel Gallagher joined the quartet earlier in the week.
Patti Smith arrived in time to play U2's 1981 'Gloria' (not Patti Smith's 1975 track) as well as Smith's own 'People Have The Power'. Two titans of musical history on one stage? It was always going to be amazing.

Noel Gallagher was spotted riding the tube on the way to the U2 concert which, by all accounts, isn't anything to talk about but there's humour to be found in getting public transportation to London's biggest gig of the year.
Gallagher and U2 performed 'I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For' and a cover of The Beatles' 'All You Need Is Love'.
