Grime pioneer Wiley has been added to the bill for Croatia’s Hideout Festival while also Tweeting about a possible return to Glastonbury after his controversial cancellation in 2013.
On Friday (January 28), the celebrated Godfather Of Grime posted several Tweets about Glastonbury including a photo of the Pyramid Stage and the post “Rain or shine this year at Glastonbury is gonna be amazing because now I understand the real meaning of a #Festival #LetsGo”.
“I realised the importance of this festival in my older age,” he added.
In 2013 Wiley pulled out of his scheduled slot at Glastonbury amid a flurry of Tweets criticising the event and his fee for performing, stating “I do not want to play for you ever again” and signing off with the phrase “fuck them and fuck their farm”.
Meanwhile, he has officially joined the line-up for electronic festival Hideout, taking place on 26-30 June on the palm tree-covered Zrce Beach in Croatia. Wiley joins Major Lazer, Stormzy, Diplo, Mike Skinner, Skream and Eats Everything at the bash.
Other new additions at the seventh edition of the beach-side festival include Patrick Topping, Mistajam, Solardo and Tiga.
