A new version of Radiohead's 'Spooks', rearranged by Johnny Greenwood and featuring members of Supergrass and a spoken word part by Joanna Newsom, has appeared online. Check it out below.
Taken from the soundtrack to Inherent Vice, the much-debated track has now surfaced online. It was roadtested by Radiohead back in 2006 along with other material that made it on to In Rainbows, but has since remained unrecorded until now - with Joanna Newsom and with the instrumental performed by friends and fellow Oxford folk, Gaz Coombes and DanNy Goffey of Supergrass.
Instead of the James Bond-esque rush of the original, the track is now drenched in a cinematic sense of lounge music darkness. It's pretty great.

A stoner mystery, Inherent Vice premiered at the New York Film Festival to wide acclaim, albeit mild incomprehension. Greenwood has previously worked on soundtracks for Anderson's films The Master and There Wll be Blood. The soundtrack also features Neil Young, Can and Minnie Ripperton.
Inherent Vice stars Joaquin Phoenix and Josh Brolin and will be released in the UK on 30 January 2015.
Meanwhile, Radiohead are currently in the studio working on their new album.
