After previously announcing his retirement, David Letterman is filming his final episodes of The Late Show With David Letterman, and the lineup of final performers has been revealed.
The final 28 shows are set to feature live musical performances from the Avett Brothers and Brandi Carlile, Dave Matthews Band, Emmylou Harris, Norah Jones, Mumford & Sons, Ralph Stanley and Amos Lee, Asleep At The Wheel, Chris Stapleton, Iron & Wine and Ben Bridwell, John Mayer, Elvis Costello, and Tom Waits.

While many of their air dates are yet to be announced, Iron & Wine and Ben Bridwell are scheduled to appear this Wednesday (April 15) and John Mayer will perform on Friday (April 17). Tom Waits and Elvis Costello are reportedly to serve as the show’s final musical guests.
As Entertainment Weekly reports, the final shows will also include appearances by the likes of George Clooney, Tom Hanks, Oprah Winfrey, Howard Stern, Billy Crystal, and Tina Fey.
David Letterman’s final broadcast is set to air Wednesday, May 20 at 11:35 p.m. ET on CBS.
