Belgian dark house/techno producer Gesaffelstein has reworked Phoenix's 'Bankrupt'. Listen below.
The title track from the French band's 2013 album, this is the latest reworking to surface from the release, with the likes of A Trak, Soul Clap and R Kelly all remixing various tracks over the last year.
Gesaffelstein's complete overhaul of the song is perhaps the bravest remix to date, leaving only the vocals intact and replacing the original's upbeat foundations with his unique brand of dark foreboding bass.
Check out Gesaffelstein's remix of Phoenix's 'Bankrupt' below:
Gesaffelstein will be returning to the UK to play Reading and Leeds this weekend (22-24 August), which will be headlined by Queens of the Stone Age, Paramore, Arctic Monkeys and Blink 182 with countless other acts on the lineup.
Stay tuned to Gigwise for onsite coverage from Reading and Leeds this weekend.
