Lady Gaga has released a music video, 'Til It Happens To You', to raise awareness of university campus sexual assault. Watch it below.

The song, which includes the refrain, "You don't know how it feels, how it feels / Until it happens to you", was co-written by Gaga and Diane Warren. It was created for the campus rape documentary The Hunting Ground.

Its hugely distressing but important accompanying video opens with the message, "The following contains graphic content that may be emotionally unsettling but reflects the reality of what is happening daily on college campuses. "

It goes on to depict three sexual assaults - one that takes place in a dorm room, one after a party as a result of the women being drugged, and a third on a trans man in a bathroom. At the end, the video states, "One in five college women will be sexually assaulted this year unless something changes." It then links to It's On Us, a website for people who've endured sexual assaults.

A portion of proceeds from the sale of the song will be donated to organizations helping survivors of sexual assault. Visit the website for It's On Us here.
