You might not have felt it strictly necessary, but President Obama recently felt the need to clarify that he is not, in fact, the lead singer of Korn.
Obama made the remarks this week while awarding army officer Florent Grobert the Medal Of Honour. The army officer was hospitalised following an explosion in 2012 and while he was in a German hospital, he said he was convinced Korn frontman, Jonathan Davis was by his side.
The US president jokingly responded: "Today, Flo, I want to assure you you are not hallucinating. You are actually in the White House. Those cameras are on. I am not the lead singer from Korn".
This isn't the first time the president has displayed a fondness for rock n roll. In his award-winning documentary Sonic Highways, Dave Grohl teased this out of him in an interview, during which he called him a rocker.

Meanwhile, Billboard recently reported that Obama was listening to Outkast and The Black Keys and tweeting his enjoyment of it. It seems this is a president who isn't claiming to like poular music just to look like he's in touch with ordinary people but he's a genuine music fan.
Elsewhere Korn are set to play Download Festival in 2016, and will appear as main support to Rammstein who headline the Friday.
