Twenty One Pilots have revealed in a new interview that they almost turned down performing at this year’s VMA’s. The band will be on an extensive UK tour next year supporting their new album Blurryface in February. You can check the dates out and grab tickets below.

Speaking with Altpress, the band spoke about how their recent VMA performance almost didn’t happen.

"There was an artist they mentioned and we said, 'thank you, but we’re going to pass. It doesn’t make sense for us for a number of reasons,’” Joseph said.

“And we thought that was it: We had blown out chance to play the VMAs—and it’s gone forever. But it was a good decision and it made sense. Then MTV came back to us and said, ‘What about A$AP Rocky?’”

The band then went on to explain that they delved into the A$AP Mob world and discovered that the band and artists could actually be a good fit on stage. A lot happened after the joint performance, with Kanye West announcing that he was planning to run for President in 2020 and The White House and Justin Timberlake responding to his claims.

Twenty One Pilots will be touring throughout the UK in support of their new album, Blurryface. Take a look at all of the dates below and click here for tickets and more information.
