Last night (6 October), Morrissey made his first live appearance since parting ways, less than amicably, with his label Harvest Records. As tribute to them, his entire band wore t-shirts saying "FUCK HARVEST."
News first broke of Morrissey's departure from the label on 9 August, after the former Smiths frontman posted a statement on his official fan site announcing, "Capitol Records/Harvest have ended their relationship with Morrissey."
Following this though, the label released a statement which said that not only has he not been dropped, he owes them one more album.
There followed a series of statements from both parties, which ranged from passive-aggressive to just plain aggressive - the conclusion of which was that Morrissey is definitely no longer signed to Harvest.
During his appearance in Lisbon yesterday, Morrissey's band wore the t-shirts pictured above, reports Stereogum.
Sadly, Morrissey wasn't wearing his 'Be kind to animals or I'll kill you' t-shirt.
Morrissey makes his return to the UK with a massive show at London's O2 Arena on 29 November, supported by Anna Calvi. Tickets are on sale now. For tickets and more information, visit here.
